George C. Zumbano represents businesses, individuals, and institutions in business and litigation matters. He practices in the fields of Commercial and Business Litigation, Personal Injury and Malpractice Litigation, Employment and Personnel Matters, Business Law, Estates and Trusts Litigation, Education Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution.

As an experienced trial lawyer, George has obtained multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements in commercial litigation, malpractice, and personal injury cases in state and federal courts. He also represents clients in employment and education matters.

George is often selected by judges or other lawyers as the mediator or arbitrator to privately resolve disputes involving a myriad of issues, including insurance policy claims, construction disputes, personal injury suits, insurance claims, employment disputes, and real estate matters. He has been repeatedly named a “Super Lawyer” in the area of Business Litigation.

In addition to his practice with Gawthrop Greenwood, George has served on the Board of Directors of the Chester County Bar Association, as well as a Past President. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and  a Delegate to the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates. George is a Master in the Stively Inns of Court. He has previously served as Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Chester County Bar Association.

Active in the community, George is on the Board of Trustees of the Chester County Historical Society, where he has also served as Chairman. He is the Past President of Holcomb Behavioral Health System. George currently serves on the Board of Directors for Chimes International Ltd., and  on the Board of the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry. George has also served as President of the West Chester Area School Board, and as Treasurer and Board Member for the Friends Association for Care and Protection of Children. He is an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of West Chester.
