Jennifer L. Simons

A life-long resident of the Philadelphia area, Jennifer L. Simons takes great pride – and great heart – in advocating for the well-being of her clients as they work together to make highly individualized decisions in the areas of estate planning, special needs trusts, guardianship and estate administration.

Known for her compassion and empathy, Jennifer attributes her dedicated approach to her own experiences caring for her father as he transitioned from self-sufficiency to late-stage care, and the array of options available during the years in between. Intent on advocating for the rights and protection of older adults, Jennifer specializes in developing customized estate plans and special needs plans for clients. She translates legalese into true understanding while preparing wills, powers of attorney and advance medical directives. She also supports clients in adult guardianship matters as well as special needs trusts, and provides representation in Orphans’ Court.

Prior to joining Gawthrop Greenwood in 2024 and its 120-year-old law practice in estate planning, Jennifer served as an associate attorney at a regional law firm where she also served as a legal assistant while attending Widener University Delaware Law School at night and achieving Dean’s List Honors. Previous to that, she achieved a successful career in corporate retail for a leading apparel provider.

A member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association and Montgomery County Estate Planning Council, Jennifer has been named a Super Lawyers® Rising Star, a preeminent survey of attorneys from more than 70 practice areas. She provides seminars on estate planning issues, guardianships and special needs planning, and her work has been published in Pennsylvania Lawyer Magazine, a publication of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Jennifer grew up in the Oak Lane section of Philadelphia and has resided in Lansdale for more than two decades. She is a proud animal lover and enjoys reading, hiking and yoga.
