While estate planning is essential for everyone, it is even more critical for families with children who have a disability.
Order Issued Requiring Face Coverings in Pennsylvania
On July 1, 2020, the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health issued the first Order in Pennsylvania requiring universal face coverings that fully cover the nose and mouth to be worn to prevent further transmission of COVID-19. The Order requires that all individuals over the age of two must wear a mask when unable to maintain a six-foot distance from individuals who are not members of the same household; there are certain exceptions for people with medical conditions or those serving hearing impaired.
The Order further requires that masks be worn when individuals are inside where members of the public are permitted; are waiting for or riding on public or private transportation; are attending healthcare services; or are interacting in person with any member of the public or where food is being handled. This Order comes as a proactive measure during Pennsylvania’s transition to the green phase, to mitigate the spike that other states are currently experiencing.
