Gawthrop Greenwood's office in Greater Wilmington is once again donating much-needed supplies to the Brandywine…
Denise M. Antonelli, an attorney and partner with the law firm Gawthrop Greenwood, has been named to the Board of Directors of the Chester County Community Foundation in West Chester, PA. Her appointment comes as Gawthrop Greenwood attorney and partner Kevin Holleran is recognized for six years of service on the Community Foundation board.
“It is important for the Community Foundation to have leadership from the key regional law firms,” notes Board Chair Michael DeHaven, CPA at Rainer & Company. CEO Karen Simmons adds, “We were delighted when Denise Antonelli agreed to carry on the Gawthrop Greenwood tradition of representation on our board, so ably preceded by Kevin Holleran, and by Stoddard Hayes before him. Each of Gawthrop Greenwood’s attorneys have been well-respected and prominent in the estate planning field, making important connections to grow legacy philanthropy.”
Antonelli is an estate planning lawyer with more than 30 years of experience. She has participated in Community Foundation panels focusing on trust and estate practices, and incorporating philanthropy into estate plans and charitable gift planning. For more than a decade, she has been an active supporter of Community Foundation initiatives that connect nonprofit beneficiaries to more than 400 different charitable legacy funds.
Antonelli is a member and board secretary of the Chester County Estate Planning Council, which focuses on furthering the education of members and the public in estate planning. She is also board president of ACT in Faith of Greater West Chester, a social service agency serving the un- and underemployed.
The Chester County Community Foundation is also recognizing six years of devoted board service by Gawthrop Greenwood attorney and partner Kevin Holleran. Holleran served as a Community Foundation board director from 2014 to 2020 and also served on the Community
Foundation’s governance committee. He was recognized by the Community Foundation in County Lines Magazine’s “Faces of Philanthropy” issue for his family’s legacy of outreach and giving in the Chester County community and beyond.
Holleran is a long-time practitioner in the trusts and estates field and has spoken regularly before the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and professional organizations on estate planning and other legal issues. He is an elected trustee of the Chester County Hospital Foundation, where he also served as chairman, is a past president of the Chester County Bar Association and past chair of the board of the United Way of Chester County.
