Gawthrop Greenwood Serving on Chester County’s COVID-19 Business Task Force
Gawthrop Greenwood attorney and partner Stephen McDonnell has been appointed to serve on Chester County’s Business Advisory Council, which will support the Chester County Commissioners’ COVID-19 Business Task Force. The Commissioners created the task force of local business leaders to help plan for the reopening and restarting of the post-pandemic economy through 2020 and beyond.
The COVID-19 Business Task Force was created to ensure that various business sectors and sizes are involved in planning, reopening and growing the economy safely and promptly. It is expected to operate as one large unit as well as several independent councils affecting the surrounding region.
As a board member for the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry (CCCBI), McDonnell will serve both on the COVID-19 Business Task Force as well on CCCBI’s independent group. All with the goal of guiding business owners through safe revitalization and growth.
McDonnell focuses his law practice on helping corporations and individuals avoid and resolve disputes through negotiation, mediation and/or litigation. His practice is concentrated in the areas of contract disputes, construction claims, employment issues as well as insurance matters. His day-to-day experience working with large, as well as smaller growing businesses and individuals gives him a unique understanding of their needs and concerns in the context of the larger local business landscape as well as the public sector.
