On December 23, 2024, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals issued an order granting a stay of the December 3rd nationwide injunction against the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) previously issued by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and discussed in our prior alert. The Fifth Circuit’s ruling results in an immediate reinstatement of the CTA’s beneficial ownership reporting requirements.
Gawthrop Presents: Denise Antonelli Speaks on Legal Issues for Nonprofits
Gawthrop Greenwood partner Denise Antonelli was recently featured on a speakers’ panel on “Legal Issues for Nonprofit Boards: How to Sleep Better at Night.”
Speaking before local nonprofit and for-profit business leaders, Antonelli, along with other panelists, gave her perspective on various topics facing board members, including duties and best practices, avoiding conflicts of interest and instituting policies and procedures.
Taking place May 10, 2018 at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester, PA, the event was moderated by Mark Yoder, President and CEO of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce. It was part of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce’s Executive/Board Discussion Series “Everybody Profits from Nonprofits.”
Antonelli serves as board president for the nonprofit ACT in Faith of Greater West Chester. As a partner at Gawthrop Greenwood, she focuses her practice on Estate Planning and Estate and Trust Administration.
