Gawthrop Presents: Anthony Verwey at Local Government 101
For the fifth consecutive municipal election cycle, Gawthrop Greenwood partner Anthony Verwey presented at the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce‘s Local Government 101 seminar held Saturday, November 18, 2017. During the seminar for newly elected officials as well as incumbents, Verwey presented on topics including Sunshine Law, Ethics Law, Public Competitive Bidding, Ordinances and Resolutions, and Prevailing Wage Law. He also led a session on Planning and Zoning.
Verwey has been practicing law in Pennsylvania for more than 28 years. His practice is focused in the areas of government and zoning law, real estate and land use, school law and legal ethics. He currently advises elected and appointed public officials, boards, councils, as well as private developers and individual property owners on a variety of issues. He is a frequent presenter on zoning, land use and government related issues. Verwey has been a presenter at Local Government 101 since its beginnings about a decade ago.
