Community association lawyer Elliot H. Berton gave an interactive presentation on April 25, 2025 at the Delaware County Bar Association, where he addressed one of the most vexing and controversial aspects of living in or owning property within a condominium or community association: controlling resident and owner conduct.
Preparing for Zoning Hearing Board Meetings with Stacey Fuller and Patrick McKenna

Municipal zoning officials across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania attended a seminar with Gawthrop Greenwood attorneys Stacey L. Fuller and Patrick M. McKenna on “Must-Have Checklists for Preparing for Zoning Hearing Board Meetings.”
The presentation was part of the 2021 PAAZO Fall Seminar held by the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS) on November 9, 2021.
During the hour-long session, township officials learned about practical ways to better prepare for zoning hearing board meetings through battle-tested checklists created and used by experienced municipal and zoning hearing board solicitors.
Fuller and McKenna lead Gawthrop Greenwood’s Government Law Department and serve as trusted solicitors for government entities, including townships, boroughs, police departments, planning commissions, municipal authorities and zoning hearing boards. Their service also extends to education and special education law, where they serve educators, schools, families and students facing a variety of challenges.
As solicitor and “general counsel” to municipalities and their boards and commissions, including zoning hearing boards, the firm routinely advocates at government meetings; advises elected boards on governance, open records and other issues; litigates municipal, school, land development and zoning matters through appeal; and drafts legislative and policy documents for municipal governments.
