Patrick McKenna on Essentials of the Land Development Process

McKenna recently spoke before Montgomery County, Delaware County and Chester County managers, assistant managers and planning/zoning staff at the Municipal Management Symposium held May 14th at Delaware Valley Trust in Horsham, PA.

Hosted by the Montgomery County Consortium of Communities as a full-day, crash course in municipal management,  McKenna joined an esteemed panel of practitioners and professional engineers to update attendees on the essentials of the subdivision and land development process, as well as share insights on Act 247/Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC), subdivision and development waivers,  ordinance flexibility and land use appeals.

McKenna has extensive experience representing numerous municipalities, zoning hearing boards, municipal authorities, and planning commissions in Chester, Montgomery and Delaware Counties. In addition, he advises and guides private land owners and developers through complex commercial land development matters, from acquisition and planning, through the permitting and land development phases. He has represented clients on matters including townhome developments, senior care homes, national fast-food franchise developments, manufacturing plants and warehousing, and shopping center developments. Patrick also has extensive experience prosecuting and defending land use violations (enforcement cases) and matters under Pennsylvania’s Right-to-Know Law, and has shared his knowledge at several seminars over the years.
