Community Association Law Attorney James Doyle Named Vice President of Chester County Bar Association
The new Vice President of the Chester County Bar Association (CCBA) is Gawthrop Greenwood real estate and community association law attorney James D. Doyle.
The election by CCBA’s Board of Directors became effective on January 1, 2024 after a vote in December.
“In addition to a widely respected real estate law practice, James has contributed longstanding and meaningful service to the Chester County Bar Association, and it’s a pleasure to name him Vice President,” said Greg Nardi, Executive Director of the Chester County Bar Association.
Doyle has served on CCBA’s Board of Directors since 2019 and most recently served as the organization’s Treasurer. He is a former Chair of CCBA’s Real Estate Section, Judicial Evaluation Committee and Young Lawyers Division.
With a real estate practice spanning Chester, Montgomery and Delaware counties, Doyle concentrates his practice in homeowners and condominium association law, real estate transactions and litigation, zoning and land use, buyer/seller disputes and title matters. He serves clients who are involved in the formation, governance and management of condominium and homeowners associations, and individuals and businesses who are involved in the buying, selling and development of residential and commercial land.
Doyle was recently appointed to Pennsylvania’s Legislative Action Committee for the Community Associations Institute (CAI), an international trade association with nearly 40,000 members that is at the forefront of community association law and dedicated to building better communities. In 2023, Doyle was awarded CAI Keystone’s Emerging Leaders Under 40. He formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce and as Vice Chair of the West Chester Borough Zoning Hearing Board.
Doyle has been recognized as a “Top Lawyer” by Main Line Today magazine, as well as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, a distinction that only 2.5% of attorneys in Pennsylvania receive. He received his Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Villanova University, where he also studied international relations in Beijing, China.
