Gawthrop Greenwood Welcomes Real Estate and Business Attorney Michael V. Naseef
Gawthrop Greenwood, PC is pleased to announce that real estate and business attorney Michael V. Naseef has joined the firm as a partner effective June 1, 2024. The announcement comes less than a year after Gawthrop Greenwood became one of the largest law firms supporting homeowners associations (HOAs), planned communities, condominium associations and cooperatives across Pennsylvania in the residential and commercial arena.
“Michael brings the ideal combination of skills as Gawthrop Greenwood continues to expand its services regarding real estate, property law and community association law, where clients are demanding a wider array of services including Michael’s specialties in real estate, land use and zoning, and transitioning from the developer to board management,” said Stacey L. Fuller, chair of the management committee at Gawthrop Greenwood. “A significant portion of this type of work involves business and financial transactions, at which Michael excels. In addition, his client-focused approach aligns with the personalized service that Gawthrop Greenwood is known for.”
With more than 24 years of experience practicing in real estate and business law, Naseef has represented developers, builders and investors in residential and commercial land development and zoning related matters, including the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and transfer of real estate. He has conducted more than 1,000 commercial and residential closings and supported the legal needs of numerous community associations and HOAs. He will be a valuable addition to Gawthrop Greenwood’s expanding Community Association Law Department and its well-established transition practice, working with the boards of directors for community associations as they assume leadership from builder-developers and grapple with financial and governing issues that require complex community documentation.
“Michael is a valued and welcome addition, now that Gawthrop Greenwood is serving hundreds of community associations across Pennsylvania with the expanded yet cost-effective services of a mid-sized law firm that are of limited availability to these clients elsewhere,” said Steven L. Sugarman, who leads the Community Association Law Department at Gawthrop Greenwood.
Naseef has also served as counsel for numerous small- and medium-sized businesses, advising business owners regarding corporate structural issues and governance matters as well as successfully completing the acquisition and sale of assets for privately held companies.
Naseef will serve in Gawthrop Greenwood’s West Chester and Berwyn offices. A member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Chester County Bar Association and Pennsylvania Land Title Association, he graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts cum laude and earned his juris doctorate degree from Widener University Delaware School of Law. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Good Fellowship Ambulance & Training Institute since 2012. A former police officer with the Downingtown Police Department, he currently resides with his family in Exton, PA.
