Pennsylvania and Delaware “Super Lawyers” and “Rising Stars” Recognize Gawthrop Greenwood Attorneys

John E. D. Larkin and Stephen J. Olsen have been chosen for the 2016 Pennsylvania “Rising Stars” list, and P. Kristen Bennett has been chosen for the 2016 Delaware “Rising Stars” list. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in each state are selected each year to receive this honor.
Kristen Bennett has been named to the Delaware “Rising Stars” list in the Tax category for four consecutive years. She joined Gawthrop Greenwood’s Wilmington, DE office in 2013 and focuses her practice on estate planning and administration and trust administration, including probate, estate tax returns, income tax returns, post mortem tax planning, and other administration issues. A frequent speaker on such topics as estate planning, estate tax and special needs planning, she also provides counsel on taxation and tax planning for businesses.
A member of Gawthrop Greenwood’s litigation and criminal law departments, John E. D. Larkin has been named to the Pennsylvania “Rising Stars” list in the Business Litigation category. This is the third consecutive year he has been named to the list. Civilly, he focuses his practice on financial and insurance matters. His published works have appeared in law journals at the Georgetown University School of Law, Vanderbilt Law School, the University of Florida Law School, and the American Journal of Trial Advocacy, as well as in the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Bar Quarterly and At Issue publications.
2016 marks the fifth time that Stephen J. Olsen has been named to the Pennsylvania “Rising Stars” list in the Estate & Probate category. Olsen concentrates his practice in the areas of estate & trust administration, estate planning taxation, and business transactions. Author of numerous articles, he has gained recognition as an authority on tax law, offering commentary for local media. He is currently assisting in the preparation of supplements and the new edition of the seminal tax procedure treatise, IRS Practice and Procedure (Rev. 2d ed.) (WG&L 2002), written by Michael Saltzman and Leslie Book.
Robert F. Adams and George C. Zumbano have been chosen for the 2016 Pennsylvania “Super Lawyers” list. Each year, no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in each state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
Robert F. Adams, whose designation is in the practice area of Land Use/Zoning, has been named to the “Super Lawyers” list for the eighth time.
