Gawthrop Greenwood Attorney James Doyle Appointed President of Chester County Bar Foundation

Doyle’s service begins following his tenure as President of the Chester County Bar Association.

“It is my honor to carry on the Foundation’s 41-year history of helping Chester County citizens understand, gain access to and benefit from our legal system,” said Doyle. “Serving as CCBA’s President has been one of the greatest honors of my professional career.”

Swope Scholarship and Matching Grant program,  Domestic Violence Center of Chester County and the Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County.

A member of the Chester County Bar Association since 2013, Doyle is the organization’s former Vice President, Chair of the Real Estate Section, Judicial Evaluation Committee and Young Lawyers Division. He formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce and as Vice Chair of the West Chester Borough Zoning Hearing Board.

With a real estate practice spanning Chester, Montgomery and Delaware counties, Doyle concentrates his practice in homeowners and condominium association law, real estate transactions and litigation, zoning and land use, buyer/seller disputes and title matters. He serves clients who are involved in the formation, governance and management of condominium and homeowners associations, and individuals and businesses who are involved in the buying, selling and development of residential and commercial land.

Doyle serves on Pennsylvania’s Legislative Action Committee for the Community Associations Institute (CAI), an international trade association with nearly 40,000 members that is at the forefront of community association law and dedicated to building better communities. In 2023, Doyle was awarded CAI Keystone’s Emerging Leaders Under 40.

Doyle has been recognized as a “Top Lawyer” by Main Line Today magazine, as well as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, a distinction that only 2.5% of attorneys in Pennsylvania receive. He received his Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Villanova University, where he also studied international relations in Beijing, China.
