Kristen Bennett Accepted Into Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute, American College of Trust and Estate Council
Gawthrop Greenwood partner P. Kristen Bennett has been accepted into Class III of the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a national organization of trust and estate counselors elected to membership by demonstrating the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence and experience .
The Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute was created by ACTEC Fellows to develop the profession’s leaders in trust and estate law through a series of in-depth educational presentations led by outstanding subject matter experts in each field from across the U.S. The institute includes six sessions for lawyers who were nominated by an ACTEC Fellow and selected through a competitive application process. The program begins in September 2022 and concludes in April 2023.
Bennett is a member of the Delaware Bar Association’s Estates and Trusts Section and Tax Section, as well as the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She is on the Estate Planning Council of Delaware, Inc.
She also serves as a board member for Delaware CarePlan, Inc., a nonprofit nongovernmental organization, which serves as trustee of special and supplemental trusts created for the benefit of Delaware residents. Bennett was named to the Brandywine Health Foundation, recently renamed the Alliance for Health Equity, a nonprofit whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of people who live and work in the greater Coatesville area by fostering community partnerships, providing capacity-building support and making grants to promote health equity and a healthy community.
