And the 2024 Gawthrop Law Prize Goes to…

Three more local students just graduated from high school with the Gawthrop Greenwood Law Prize.

“I’d like to thank Gawthrop Greenwood for the Law Prize scholarship,” said Tristan Moore, a graduate of West Chester B. Reed Henderson High School. “I look forward to continuing my educational journey to Fordham University, and I greatly appreciate the scholarship that will be applied.”

Gawthrop Greenwood has been encouraging, recognizing and honoring academic excellence since the law firm’s founding in 1904. Created in 1991, the Gawthrop Greenwood Law Prize ensures the advancement and education of Chester County’s youth by awarding a student from each of the three high schools in the West Chester Area School District. This year’s law prize winners, receiving $1,000 each, are:

• Atacus Jarrett – Graduate of West Chester East High School, attending Fordham University
• Tristan Moore – Graduate of West Chester B. Reed Henderson High School, attending Fordham University
• Oulfela Osimokun – Graduate of Bayard Rustin High School, attending Morehouse College

“Supporting the next generation of workforce in the legal industry and beyond is a key priority for Gawthrop Greenwood, and we are so pleased to provided these scholarships as our firm celebrates its 120th anniversary year,” said Gawthrop Greenwood managing partner Stacey Fuller, who practices in the area of education law and is a board member for the West Chester Area Education Foundation, where she has also served as president. “We wish all of our local students the very best as they continue their education.”

Each award recipient also received a copy of the book You Will Leave a Trail of Stars: Words of Inspiration for Blazing Your Own Path by Lisa Congdon.
