For 35 years, Gawthrop Greenwood has awarded a Law Prize to three local students, and this year's winners are expressing their appreciation. Created in 1991, the Gawthrop Greenwood Law Prize ensures the advancement and education of Chester County’s youth by awarding a student from each of the three high schools in the West Chester Area School District.
Delaware State Bar Association Honors Trusts and Estates Attorney Joanna Reiver for 50-Year Career
Gawthrop Greenwood’s renowned trusts and estates attorney Joanna Reiver was honored last Thursday for 50 years of service as an attorney by the Delaware State Bar Association during its Annual Meeting.
The ceremony was at DSBA’s Bench and Bar conference held at Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington. (Reiver is pictured left of center wearing blue.)
During her 50-year career, Reiver raised the bar for trusts and estates legal counsel in Wilmington and forged a path for female attorneys. A former Delaware State Chair at the prestigious American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), Reiver was also President of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils and Chair of the Delaware State Bar Association Section on Estates and Trusts.
