Gawthrop Recognized by Legal Intelligencer as a Notable Law Firm on 2023 Watch List
The Legal Intelligencer just announced that Gawthrop Greenwood has been named to the publication’s 2023 Watch List in the category of Firm Growth/New Hires. The list recognizes small to midsize firms (up to 250 attorneys) that should be on everybody’s radar.
The past year has been a transformative one for Gawthrop Greenwood, with its number of attorneys reaching the highest in the firm’s 119-year history. Eleven attorneys were added over the past 24 months.
The most recent has made Gawthrop Greenwood one of the largest law firms supporting homeowners associations (HOAs), planned communities, condominium associations and cooperatives across Pennsylvania in the residential and commercial arenas. Nationally recognized community association lawyer Steven L. Sugarman joined Gawthrop Greenwood’s community association law practice with attorneys Elliot H. Berton and Robert M. Mulhern, Jr., also of Steven L. Sugarman and Associates. This comes comes after Gawthrop Greenwood announced that community association law firm Landis & Setzler, PC and attorneys Holly L. Setzler and James D. Doyle had joined Gawthrop Greenwood, as well as family law and trusts and estates attorneys Hudson L. Voltz and Janet Satterthwaite of Hudson L. Voltz, PC.
During this historic growth for one of Chester County, PA’s oldest and most prominent law firms, the youngest leader of Gawthrop Greenwood, Patrick McKenna, chaired the firm’s management committee, succeeded by the second woman in the firm’s history to serve as chair, Stacey Fuller.
